Product Description:
The AM3063-1N40-0000 is a synchronous servo motor in the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series manufactured by Beckhoff. In automated equipment, it converts drive commands into regulated rotary motion for coordinated positioning, speed control, and torque control. The motor is supplied in the standard version configuration, so its mechanical envelope and electrical constants follow the baseline arrangement used for this product line. This motor type is intended for closed-loop axes that need repeatable response during frequent starts, stops, and speed changes. With integrated electronic feedback, the unit is suited to indexing tables, gantry axes, and packaging machinery on EtherCAT-based motion systems.
The motor incorporates a flange sized at 142 mm, which provides the mounting interface for gearboxes or direct-drive frames. Electrical power and feedback lines are routed through a rotatable angular connector or terminal box, which lets the cable exit be oriented to suit the cabinet layout. Position sensing is supplied by a Hiperface multi-turn 128 SinCos from F6 encoder, so the controller can read absolute shaft position across 4096 turns without homing. For applications that use external braking torque, the unit is delivered without a holding brake. Mechanical torque is transmitted through a shaft with groove and feather key, which supports keyed coupling to mating hubs.
The motor uses the DIN 6885 keyway standard, and it has an overall length code 3 that keeps installation depth moderate for this frame size. Its electrical characteristics match winding code N, so resistance and inductance are suited to compatible mid-range servo inverters without derating. The selected housing length provides room for the motor's thermal mass while keeping the package compact for multi-axis layouts and installations with limited depth.
