Product Description:
The AM3054-1K40-0000 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Beckhoff and assigned to the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a rotary actuator, it converts drive current into regulated torque and speed for closed-loop positioning in pick-and-place axes, packaging stations, and other industrial motion systems. Integrated feedback allows the connected drive to monitor rotor movement continuously so commanded motion can be corrected during acceleration, deceleration, and steady operation.
The motor is equipped with a rotatable angular connector or terminal box, allowing the cable exit to be oriented during installation and reducing strain in tight cabinets. Positional data are returned through a Hiperface multi-turn 128 SinCos from F6 encoder, enabling the drive to maintain absolute position information after power loss. A 104 mm flange size provides the mechanical interface to gearheads or machine frames and matches common mounting dimensions in medium-power axes. Because the unit is supplied without a holding brake, any static load retention must be provided by the drive or by an external locking mechanism. Torque is transferred through a shaft with groove and feather key, which provides a secure mechanical connection between the motor and the driven component.
The keyway geometry follows DIN 6885, which standardizes the width and depth to match widely used keys and hubs. An overall length code 4 indicates the stator stack length used for this model, affecting both torque output and thermal behavior during continuous operation. Electrical characteristics are tied to the motor’s designated winding code K, which corresponds to the phase resistance and inductance values expected by compatible Beckhoff drive amplifiers. The motor is classified as a standard version within the series, so it is supplied without special seals, cooling jackets, or high-dynamic rotor options. This makes the configuration suitable for general servo applications that use the standard AM platform and conventional machine mounting arrangements.
