Product Description:
The AM3052-0K30-0000 belongs to the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series from Beckhoff and is intended for closed-loop motion axes in automated machinery. As a synchronous permanent-magnet motor, it converts drive current into precisely controlled torque and speed and serves as the mechanical output stage of a matching servo drive platform. Its permanent-magnet rotor and servo feedback support quick response during repeated starts, stops, and direction changes. This operating style suits axes that cycle frequently during production. In packaging, assembly, and pick-and-place equipment, the motor can be coupled directly to gearheads or load shafts for accurate and repeatable positioning.
The mechanical interface uses a 104 mm square flange, giving a consistent mounting face for standard planetary gearboxes and machine frames. Electrical terminations are provided through a rotatable angular connector or terminal box, so power and feedback cables can be oriented to reduce tight bends and save cabinet space in compact machine layouts. Rotor position is measured with a Hiperface single-turn 128 SinCos encoder from the F6 family, and its sinusoidal track supplies high-resolution angle data to the drive for tight velocity and torque loops. A smooth shaft eases coupling with clamping hubs and avoids fretting associated with keyed joints. The K winding corresponds to the motor’s resistance, inductance, and voltage constant for use with Beckhoff AX5xxx inverters. The unit is supplied in the standard version of the motor series.
Because it is delivered without a holding brake, static load retention must be handled by the drive or by an external mechanical lock. The motor uses overall length code 2, which gives it a mid-length stator that balances torque density with installation depth. Compatible drives apply commutation parameters matched to this motor so startup, current control, and feedback processing remain consistent during operation. The build uses the same mating connector style, thermal sensor arrangement, and mounting tolerances used across the range.
