Product Description:
The AM3051-0G01 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Beckhoff within the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It provides precise rotary actuation for indexing tables, gantry axes, and packaging lines that require accurate speed control and high cycle rates. When paired with a compatible servo drive, the motor converts controlled stator current into responsive shaft torque. The drive uses rotor feedback to regulate speed and position throughout coordinated multi-axis motion.
The motor uses a 104 mm square flange that bolts directly to compatible planetary gearheads or machine frames. Rotor position is monitored by a two-pole resolver, which relays angular feedback to the control drive and helps maintain stable servo loops during rapid acceleration. The motor has winding code G, which indicates the electrical winding arrangement used with compatible servo amplifiers. Continuous stall torque ranges from 9 Nm to 20 Nm across the applicable motor lengths, allowing the appropriate torque and inertia combination to be selected for the axis. A dedicated DC supply energizes the electromagnetic brake coil separately from the three-phase stator windings, keeping the brake circuit independent of the motor power stage.
For vertical axes, the integrated 24 V holding brake locks the shaft when the drive is disabled and helps prevent unintended load movement. The output end has a smooth shaft, allowing clamp couplings or timing-belt pulleys to be installed without a keyway. This shaft arrangement supports accurate coupling alignment and avoids the clearance associated with a keyed connection. Dimensional variant 1 indicates the shortest housing in the AM3051 line, reducing the required installation length while retaining the applicable brake arrangement. The configuration is the Standard version, with the normal industrial surface finish and without special food-grade seals or additional surface treatments.
