Product Description:
The AM3044-1E30-0000 is a synchronous servo motor built by Beckhoff for the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. This unit delivers closed-loop rotary motion for positioning, interpolating, and speed-regulated axes in automated machinery. It provides repeatable torque within a compact space, allowing machine builders to synchronize multiple axes through digital drives. The permanent-magnet design supports responsive motion when the connected drive regulates position, speed, and torque.
The motor achieves a continuous shaft output of 0.66 kW when supplied by a 400 V inverter, and its rated operating speed is 2500 rpm. At that speed, it maintains a nominal torque of 4.80 Nm, while its thermal capacity permits a standstill torque of 5.76 Nm. A standstill current of 2.90 A is required to hold the static load without rotation, and this value supports proper current-loop and fuse sizing. The winding uses code E and has electrical characteristics compatible with standard Beckhoff servo amplifiers. The rotor inertia is 2.7 kg cm², providing predictable acceleration during indexing and other repetitive movements. A three-phase stator generates the rotating magnetic field used to produce controlled shaft motion. The motor belongs to the standard series type and can be operated with a compatible servo drive.
The motor supports a maximum speed of 6000 rpm and has an 87 mm flange that follows IEC mounting patterns. Its shaft has a groove and feather key manufactured according to DIN 6885, allowing positive engagement with keyed couplings and pulleys. The shaft can withstand a permitted radial force of 450 N when the connected load remains within the applicable mounting limits. Length code 4 corresponds to the housing length, and the complete motor weighs 5.3 kg. Electrical connections can be made through a rotatable angular connector or a terminal box, providing options for cable routing in restricted machine spaces. Hiperface single-turn feedback with 128 SinCos periods supplies absolute rotor position data to the drive. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so an external clamp or drive-produced torque must secure the load when stationary retention is required.
