The AM3043-0H41-0000 is a synchronous motor unit built by Beckhoff Automation to handle the dynamic and stability requirements of a broad range of machines used in industries all over the world. Typical examples of highly demanding machines compatible with this motor unit include robotic machines, paper processing machines, textile machines and lots more. To support the high operation standards expected from this motor unit, Beckhoff uses special magnetic material for excitation in the motor rotor. Also, the motor is commutated electronically directly to the connected servo drive. There is a special resolver integrated into this motor unit; this resolver converts every movement of the motor into electronic signals that are interpreted by the driver, compared to configuration instructions and used to ensure the accurate movement and operation of the motor unit.

The AM3043-0H41-0000 efficiently transmits heat from its windings to its housing surface, where it is easily eliminated by natural convection; operators can also provide an external air blower for the cooling of this motor unit. The recommended ambient temperature for the operation of this motor unit at rated values is between 5 to 40 degrees Celsius; at this temperature range, operation altitude should be maintained below 1000 meters above sea level. The housing of this motor is able to protect it from water splashes directed at an angle; however, this does not make the motor completely waterproof; a maximum relative humidity level of 95 per cent should still be maintained during its operation.

The AM3043-0H41-0000 motor unit contains ball bearings designed to support its shaft. These bearings have an estimated service life of about 20,000 operating hours. The service life of the integrated bearings can be further reduced by overloading the motor unit.
