Product Description:
The AM3032-2D30-0000 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Beckhoff and positioned within the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. This rotary unit is intended for closed-loop operation with EtherCAT-capable amplifiers. By providing rapid acceleration, precise velocity tracking, and repeatable positioning, the motor serves typical automation duties such as pick-and-place axes, small handling robots, and conveyor drives where compact dimensions and high dynamic response are required.
A flange diameter of 72 mm establishes the mechanical interface and supports the reaction torque present at the mounting surface. Electrical power and feedback lines exit through a rotatable angular connector or terminal box, which permits cable routing to match cabinet layouts without twisting the stator housing. Position data are delivered by a Hiperface single-turn 128 SinCos from F6 encoder; this absolute sensor supplies one revolution of position information with high interpolation resolution, enabling tight position loops at the drive. The motor length uses size code 2, providing an active stack that balances continuous torque with thermal limits. Internal copper usage and slot geometry are matched to winding code D, aligning the motor with the nominal voltage and current ratings of compatible Beckhoff AX5xxx inverters.
Torque is transmitted through a smooth shaft, a design suited for backlash-free coupling devices or clamping hubs. To protect the internal bearing grease from dust and low-pressure water jets, the front end carries a radial shaft-sealing ring IP65, allowing installation in typical factory environments without additional covers. The motor is the Standard version of the AM series, so it uses the common thermal class and insulation system adopted across this product line. The unit is delivered without a holding brake, so vertical axes must rely on external brakes or the drive’s active torque for load retention during power-off states.
