Product Description:
The AM3031-1C00-0000 is a servo motor produced by Beckhoff for the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a synchronous servomotor, it converts commanded current from a drive into controlled angular motion for positioning axes, pick-and-place gantries, and conveyor stations in industrial automation. Its compact design allows the motor to be paired with a planetary gearbox or connected directly to a lead screw without requiring a custom adapter. The permanent-magnet rotor and electronic commutation support precise regulation of position, speed, and torque when the motor is connected to a compatible servo drive.
Power and feedback cables are routed through a rotatable angular connector or an optional terminal box, allowing the outlet direction to be adjusted for the machine layout. With a flange size of 72 mm, the motor fits compact mounting interfaces on handling modules while providing a stable connection to the driven equipment. Position feedback is delivered by a two-pole resolver, which provides analog rotor-angle signals that remain reliable in the presence of electrical noise and elevated temperatures. Because the unit is supplied with no holding brake, load-side holding torque must be provided by the drive or an external mechanical lock when power is removed. The motor uses a grooved shaft with a feather key, providing positive torque transmission to keyed pulleys, gearboxes, or rigid couplings without relying solely on clamping force.
The feather-key dimensions comply with DIN 6885, allowing compatible keyed components to seat correctly on the output shaft. Internally, the stator uses winding code C, which sets electrical characteristics such as the voltage constant and rated speed range for operation with a suitable drive. The housing has length code 1, resulting in a short body that reduces the axial space required for installation. The motor is supplied as the Standard version, following the baseline mechanical and electrical configuration for this model. Its compact housing is suitable for machinery in which several controlled axes must be arranged close together while preserving access to the motor connector and shaft coupling.
