Product Description:
The AM3031-0C00 synchronous servo motor is produced by Beckhoff within the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. The unit serves as a torque source in industrial automation, converting electrical input from a servo drive into precise rotary motion for indexing tables, pick-and-place heads, and compact gantries. Integrated electromagnetic feedback allows the drive controller to close the position loop directly at the motor, supporting high repeatability when product changeovers or rapid cycle rates are required on the machine floor.
Its mounting interface uses a 72 mm square flange, so it bolts to size-matched IEC gearboxes without additional adapters. Rotor position is measured by a two-pole resolver, providing rotor angle data while tolerating vibration and elevated temperatures. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, making it suitable for horizontal axes that do not require the motor to retain a load after power is removed. Output torque is transferred through a smooth shaft, simplifying connection to clamp hubs or bellows couplings in applications that require zero backlash. The motor has winding code C, which sets the voltage constant and rated current used to select a compatible drive.
The mechanical envelope uses the Standard version, which does not include extended sealing or liquid-cooling features. This arrangement avoids the added weight and installation requirements associated with auxiliary cooling components. The stator stack has overall length code 1, indicating the shortest build in the family and providing reduced inertia for fast acceleration profiles. The model is grouped under Synchronous Servomotors, aligning its electrical parameters with compatible drives and cables across the product platform. Its compact housing is suited to enclosure-mounted machinery where installation space is limited.
