Product Description:
The AM3024-0D30-0000 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Beckhoff for the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for closed-loop positioning and velocity control on compact rotary axes. Suitable applications include pick-and-place heads, gantry drives, and feed rolls that require accurate torque delivery in industrial automation.
A rotatable angular connector or terminal box provides the electrical interface and can be swiveled so that power and feedback cables exit in the most convenient direction for the machine layout. The mounting interface uses a 58 mm square flange, allowing direct attachment to gearboxes or frames that share this standard IEC size. Rotor position data are supplied through a Hiperface single-turn 128 SinCos encoder from the F6 feedback family, providing fine incremental resolution for the drive controller while also carrying an absolute position word after power-on. The motor length is identified by code 4, which indicates the magnetic stack height associated with the motor’s continuous torque capacity. Because the unit is delivered without a holding brake, any static load must be secured by an external mechanical restraint or drive-applied torque when power is removed.
The mechanical output uses a smooth shaft, so torque is transmitted through friction or clamping couplings rather than a key. Electromagnetic behavior is set by winding code D, which establishes the voltage constant and nominal current values used to select a matching amplifier. The motor series type and design version are both classified as Standard, indicating that the unit does not use special sealing, cooling, or inertia options. Its encoder supports closed-loop position and speed regulation by returning detailed rotor data to the connected drive. The rotatable electrical interface also helps keep cable bends within practical limits when the motor is installed in a compact machine assembly.
