Product Description:
The AM3024-0C30-0000 servo motor is produced by Beckhoff as part of the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. This model is intended for closed-loop industrial automation systems that require precise speed and position control on compact axes, including pick-and-place modules, small gantries, and packaging machines. By converting controller commands into dynamic torque at the shaft, the motor forms the electromechanical link between a drive amplifier and a mechanical load. Its synchronous design supports responsive acceleration and controlled positioning during repetitive machine cycles.
Mechanical mounting uses a 58 mm square flange that aligns with standard IEC motor plates. Power and signal leads exit through a rotatable angular connector or an alternate terminal box, allowing the cable orientation to suit the available installation space. The integrated encoder provides Hiperface single-turn 128 SinCos feedback from the F6 sensor group, giving the drive high-resolution position data for smooth interpolation at low speeds. This feedback also supplies the rotor position information required for electronic commutation and accurate closed-loop operation. Because the motor is supplied without a holding brake, any static load must be secured by external means or held by drive torque at standstill.
The mechanical interface uses a smooth shaft, simplifying direct coupling with friction or clamp-style hubs where backlash must be minimized. Stator length is indicated by overall length code 4, providing a balance of continuous torque and rotor inertia for responsive performance with mid-range loads. Electrical behavior is associated with winding code C, which sets the phase resistance and inductance values used with compatible Beckhoff drive modules. Correct drive parameter selection allows the current controller to regulate torque without exceeding the motor’s electrical limits. This model is delivered in the standard version, while accessories such as gearheads or sealing rings may be selected separately when needed.
