Product Description:
The AM3012-0C00-0001 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Beckhoff and part of the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for precise position and speed control in automation axes such as pick-and-place heads, small gantries, and light rotary actuators. Within those systems, the motor interfaces with EtherCAT drive controllers to convert electrical command signals into accurate mechanical rotation. This arrangement supports repeatable motion in compact machines where smooth response and stable feedback are important during rapid start-stop cycles.
It uses a two-pole resolver feedback element, allowing the drive to determine rotor position within one full revolution with high noise immunity. The mounting interface follows a 40 mm square flange pattern, enabling direct attachment to compact gearboxes or machine frames with minimal adapter plates. For applications that manage load retention externally, the rotor is supplied without a holding brake, reducing inertia and overall length. Mechanical power is transferred through a smooth shaft, so couplings or pulleys can be press-fit without keyways when backlash must be minimized. Electromagnetic behavior is set by winding code C, which fixes the voltage constant and rated current so the motor can be paired predictably with Beckhoff AX5xxx servo drives.
The motor conforms to the manufacturer's Standard series type, so its dimensions follow the regular layout used in this range. Its housing uses length code 2, which gives the unit a consistent body length within this frame. The regular thermal class and fixed connector positions support compact installation layouts in small automation equipment. These features help the motor fit enclosed axis assemblies where cable routing and available space must be managed carefully.
