The AM237M-1020 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. The motor uses an OCT multi-turn feedback system that carries encoder data and power through the same cable, reducing connector count and simplifying cabinet layout. In typical industrial automation cells, the device drives indexing tables, linear stages with belt reduction, or compact gantry axes. Its compact arrangement is useful where installation space is limited and cable routing must remain straightforward.
During continuous operation, the motor delivers a rated mechanical output of 0.5 kW at a shaft speed of 6000 rpm. These values are achieved with a rated current of 1.5 A and a rated torque of 0.8 Nm, while the electromagnetic design allows a peak current of 6.5 A for short accelerations. Torque production scales with a torque constant of 0.62 Nm/A, and the back EMF follows a voltage constant of 38 V per 1000 rpm, which helps with drive sizing and controller tuning.
