Product Description:
The 3PS690.9 is a unit that provides electricity. This power supply unit is very efficient, working at more than 93%. This supply unit is part of B & R Automation's System 2005 Controllers range. It can handle an input voltage of 100 to 240 V AC (volts of alternating current). This device, which is mounted on a DIN rail, keeps electrical systems from becoming too hot. This supply unit will reset itself automatically if the power goes off or drops.
This module has been C-UL-US Listed. When setting up the 3PS690.9, make sure that all of the devices that are linked to it don't need more power than this power supply unit can produce. If the power supply module doesn't provide the power that the manufacturing system needs, the best thing to do is to pull off the I/O modules and attach them to an external backplane. The 3PS690.9 has a built-in power supply limit to prevent against short circuits. An AC240 battery module may also be utilized as an external buffer voltage generator to prevent against short circuits. If the modules that are attached need more power than the power supply unit can provide, the current restriction warning will show up. The CPU will restart as soon as the alarm pops up, and there won't be any power loss. This power supply module has its own LED screen.
The display will show the various stages of operation. There are four LEDs on this module: DC1, DC2, DC3, and DC 24V. The first three displays will indicate the status of the 5V, 24V, and 11V power supplies. The final display will indicate whether the 24 VDC input voltage is OK.
