B&R Automation 3IF648.95 is a high-functionality industrial communication module in a category of System 2005 controllers.
It is able to allow trustworthy Ethernet connectivity with the contemporary automation control system. Being an Ethernet interface module, it allows easy cooperation without interruptions at 10/100 Mbps speed, which is needed in time-sensitive industrial applications. It has a standardized RJ45 Ethernet interface connection and can easily be networked into an existing - or new - installation. It has been designed to be mounted on DIN rail, but it is easy and secure to install in control cabinets because of a minimal footprint with dimensions of only 120 x 60 x 30 mm and a lightweight construction of only 150 g. Having an input current of up to 0.5 A at 24 V DC, the module can be energy-efficient and suitable in industrial settings. It is designed to stand the difficult environments and its working temperature is within the range of -20°C to +60°C, thus may be able to operate reliably in most of the applications. It has a degree of protection of IP20, which means it is fit to be installed in sheltered enclosures.
With LEDs, it is easy to tell the power and communication activity status to aid a quick visual diagnosis during the operations and maintenance.
