The saturation collector-emitter voltage of 2.30 V under regular circumstances and 2.70 V at maximum prevents the device from losing energy during voltage passage over the junction. It is designed to support a collector-emitter voltage of up to 1200 V, a healthy electrical margin for high-performance applications. Its gate trigger voltage is as much as ±20 V, with flexible control input functionality. The thermal management of the device is augmented by an extremely low junction-to-case thermal resistance of only 0.08 °C/W for effective heat spreading. With a rating of 1880 W power dissipation, it is capable of sustaining high performance without heating, when mounted appropriately.
