The 3AM050. 6 is an analog mixed module of B&R Series 2005 that engages in the inputs and outputs roles of automation systems. This module is unique to the competition with 4 Analog Inputs & 4 Analog Outputs, each channel of which is equipped with 12-bit resolution, which helps increase the service accuracy and precision especially required in industrial applications.
The input of this module can accept all signal types up to 0 to 10V enabling compatibility with many sensors while the output provides all signal types up to a maximum of ~10V for many actuators. For connectivity, the models employed are 3TB170 series terminal blocks, and the screw type and the cage-clamp type are available but the latter has to be separately ordered. In this regard, the flexible installation of this module to the main and expansion racks of B&R systems makes it possible to integrate in different modes. This unit is C-UL-US listed, meaning it complies with strict safety standards in North America. The module is also efficient in its power consumption, requiring only 6.5W total, distributed as 1.5W from the 5V supply and 5W from the 24V supply. Normal operation response times can be found to be below 1 ms while in peak loads, the time can be below 1. 5 ms with averaging activated, it is also characterized by its good data processing. Also, it supports software timing for schedules of direct operations, increasing control timing flexibility that ranges from 2000 to 65535 us.
