The P5MB3/3 is a motherboard-class circuit board manufactured by B & R Automation as part of the P5 Circuit Boards series. Inside industrial PCs, this board hosts a compatible processor and ties field networks, operator displays, and local storage together, acting as the central platform for motion sequences, data acquisition, and HMI tasks in automation cells. It gives the computer one internal platform for control, communication, and display handling within a compact automation enclosure. That role lets the industrial PC manage machine logic and operator interaction from the same hardware base.

At its core, the board carries an Intel 82440 BX chipset, so memory timing, PCI arbitration, and AGP signaling follow Intel’s 440BX architecture. CPU sockets are wired for both Intel Celeron and Pentium III processors, supporting a range of compatible performance levels. The board has 3 DIMM slots for SDRAM, while on-board Ethernet provides 10/100 twisted-pair connectivity to plant networks.
