By providing fixed mechanical references for every slot and standardized grounding points, the unit simplifies the installation of PLC hardware in industrial automation cabinets.
The front footprint of the module bracket measures 482.6 mm in width and 221.4 mm in height, while the cabinet depth requirement is only 145 mm. These dimensions indicate the space that must be reserved on the mounting plate. Sixteen backplane connectors provide 16 PLC module slots, organized over the hexadecimal slot range 0 to F so that addressing remains sequential. Structural stiffness is provided by a sheet metal frame with a wall thickness of 2 mm, limiting flex when cards are inserted or removed. Side screws with contact washers, grounding clamps, and an unpainted bonding strip provide direct earth paths so shield currents bypass sensitive logic lines.
