Wake Industrial LLC is not an authorized distributor of this product.
The B & R Automation ECPS45-0 is part of the ECP Multi Control Modules series and has a nominal input voltage of 120 VAC, supporting an input voltage range of 96 to 144 VAC at frequencies between 47 and 63 Hz. It requires 2 amps of current, features multiple output voltage rails of +8 V, +15 V, and -30 V, and provides a total output power of 100 watts. The module supports a maximum contact load of 2000 VA or 150 watts and includes a fuse rated at 2.5 A and 250 V.
Internal Product Review
The ECPS45-0 is an ECP multi control module power supply designed for stable 120 VAC operation and 100 W total output. The +8 V, +15 V, and -30 V output rails support clean distribution for mixed control loads, with 100 W available on the +15 V rail. A 4000 Vrms relay breakdown voltage gives this module excellent electrical isolation for dependable panel power architecture.

Product Description:
B & R Automation's ECPS45-0 module belongs to the ECP Multi Control Modules series. The device is installed on the supply side of distributed controllers, where it accepts single-phase utility power, routes it through integrated protection elements, and then provides multiple DC rails for analog conditioning, relay actuation, and logic boards. By combining power conversion and monitoring functions in one enclosure, the module simplifies cabinet wiring and provides a single service point in industrial automation. This arrangement supports compact control assemblies that need one module to supply both logic and interface circuits.
The input section is designed for a nominal line of 120 VAC, yet the circuitry continues to operate when voltage dips to 96 VAC or rises to 144 VAC. An internal reference tracks grid frequency, allowing stable regulation from 47 Hz up to 63 Hz without loss of synchronization. During full load, the module draws approximately 2 A from the mains, so feeder sizing and thermal calculations can be made accordingly. This operating range helps the supply remain stable during normal line variation in factory environments.
The module provides three isolated rails: +8 V rated at 65 W, +15 V rated at 100 W, and -30 V rated at 30 W. The available output power depends on the mix of loads connected to these rails. Primary overcurrent protection is provided by a cartridge fuse limited to 2.5 A and specified for 250 V AC interrupt capacity. Output switching to external loads is handled by Form C relays that tolerate a breakdown potential of 4000 Vrms and a transient level of 250 Vrms, while their contacts can carry 2000 VA on inductive circuits or 150 W on resistive circuits. These relay characteristics allow the module to supervise actuators and indicator lamps without external interface hardware.
