Product Description:
An inductive proximity sensor, the B&R Automation ECPP40IF4-01, is utilized in industrial control systems to reliably detect metal objects.
Being a member of the ECP Multi Control Module family, it has a sensing range of 4 mm, and its output is in PNP Normally Open (NO) format, thus suitable to be used within control systems with standard logic control (PLC-based). The sensor works within a supply range voltage of 10 to 30 VDC, and consumes a very low current of not more than 20 mA, hence energy efficient. The maximum load current it can sustain is 200 mA, and it responds at a fast rate of 1 kHz response frequency, which enables it to follow high velocity moving objects without losing the signal or delaying in tracking the signal. The ECPP40IF4-01 has short-circuit and reverse polarity protection that is built in, which makes it safe and extends the service life, particularly in systems such that electrical faults or wire mistakes are possible.
