Product Description:

The ECP Multi Control Modules series includes the high-performance photoelectric sensor B&R Automation ECPP40-0N.

It offers long-life object detection with robustness and advanced performance when it comes to object detection at high distances within the industrial environment. The sensing technique employed by this model is a through-beam technique in which interruption of the light path alerts the deployment of the receiver and emitter. It has a sensing radius of up to 40 meters; thus, it is suitable for large equipment, conveyor systems, or high-speed packaging lines where long-range detection is required. The sensor has a 10 to 30 VDC power supply, NPN output, and it has both a normally open (NO) and a normally closed (NC) form of implementation that makes it easy to integrate it into various control systems. Its high rate of accuracy of 1 ms or less is suitable for detecting errors in very high-speed applications. The ECPP40-0N has an infrared LED that is less affected by external light noise and that performs more stably, in outdoor or flickering light conditions. The current is low, ≤ 30 mA, which reduces the load on the control circuit.

To fine-tune sensitivity, a potentiometer is provided, and LED indicators give real-time feedback on operation, signal stability, etc, making setup and diagnostics very easy. The sensor is constructed out of a strong ABS plastic case and has an IP67 protection rating, which provides full protection against dust and immersion. Due to the wide range of temperatures of -25 °C to +55 °C, it is applicable in a variety of indoor and semi-outside conditions. The connection is made through a fixed cable, which is safe and not subjected to any vibration.
