B&R Automation ECPE82-1 is an electrolytic capacitor manufactured in the series of ECP Multi Control Module to be used in industrial power supply.
Having a capacitance of 82 µF, with a maximum rated voltage of 250V DC, it can be reliably used to buffer energy, smooth, and filter the signals in DC circuits. The capacitor has a tolerance of +/-20 percent, which offers flexibility in the design of the circuit with no compromise on the performance. It can work under a broad range of temperatures extending between -40°C to +105°C, and thus can be practically used in demanding conditions where it should be thermally stable. The ESR of the product is low, and is 0.24 Ω at 20°C and 100 Hz, ensuring that there are no excessive internal losses and ripple-rich applications operate very efficiently. The ECPE82-1 has physical dimensions of 18 mm in diameter and 32 mm in length; the common lead spacing is 7.5 mm. It has radial leads that are easily mounted through holes, strong mechanical stability, and good soldering in assembly.
The case material is aluminum, which contributes to heat dissipation and general durability. With 105 °C at 100 Hz, the ripple current capability is 940 mA, which accommodates high-frequency applications without overheating. This qualifies the capacitor to be used as a switching power supply and in other high pulse circuits.
