Product Description:
Within the ECP Multi Control Module line, the B&R Automation ECPE42-21 is a ferrite-type E-Core magnetic component used in motor drives.
It has the conventional E-core connector and is suitable for designing compact transformers and inductors having suitable transfer of energy and low electromagnetic contamination. The core is made of high-quality ferrite materials, although it offers stable inductance performance with a wide frequency range up to 500 kHz, which qualifies it for modern power electronics. Its Al value (inductance factor) is 4700 nH/N², and because of this, it provides a very strong foundation to coil design with predictable and repeatable inductive properties. Compact in nature, with an outer diameter of 48.25 mm, inner diameter of 22.3 mm, width of 15.7 mm, and height of 21.1 mm, the core is especially applicable in space-limited mechanical assemblies. It offers a path length of 109 mm and a cross-sectional area of 205 mm², which allows efficient distribution of the magnetic flux and minimizes core losses.
At 25°C, the ungapped ferrite variety saturation flux density is about 200 mT, giving a good compromise between energy storage and magnetic performance before saturation. It can be mounted on the chassis or through-hole, which allows it to be used in both prototyping and production environments. A wide operating range of -40°C to +125°C makes the product reliable in terms of thermal stress. The core is RoHS compliant, and it weighs approximately 0.30 kg, which makes it not only environment-friendly but also lightweight, yet provides effective structural support to different mechanical projects. It can be purchased at Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty.
