The ECCP40-0 CPU Module from B & R Automation is a compact and efficient processing unit designed for industrial control systems. It is powered by a Motorola 6303 processor and offers a processing time of 4 milliseconds per thousand instructions. This unit is built for performance critical automation applications.
The ECCP40-0 module comes with a reset button and a visible status display for easy diagnostics and monitoring. The module features a total of 7168 registers divided into 7148 remnant and 20 non remnant registers. It supports 800 flags with 300 being remnant and 500 non remnant. For application program memory, the module uses an EE32 memory card which is externally pluggable. It offers both hardware and software timer capabilities. There are 512 hardware timers and 64 software timers that are suitable for time dependent operations. The timing cycles can be set at 10 ms, 100 ms, 1 second and 10 seconds. It provides time and date features using a software clock which is volatile. The module supports 1536 digital inputs/outputs and 256 analog inputs/outputs that enhances connectivity and control. The serial communication is supported via an on line TTY interface at 62.5 kBaud. However, the application interface port is not available in this model.
