B&R Automation manufactures the ECNT43-0 supply module for the ECN PLC Power Supplies series. This unit is a regulated power supply that furnishes stabilized low-voltage rails required by ECN programmable logic controllers and their connected field I/O modules. By converting a 24 V battery or plant bus to multiple isolated outputs, it supports consistent controller operation and sensor signaling in automated production cells. Multiple regulated rails allow one module to feed controller electronics and associated interface circuits from a single compact unit.

The input section is rated for a nominal 24 VDC feed and can draw up to 7 A when the secondary rails are fully loaded. A bulk reservoir of 6000 µF filters incoming ripple, and an additional 6800 µF/35 V capacitor helps the module ride through brief input dips. The extra capacitance helps maintain stable output conditions during short disturbances on the supply line. Dielectric strength across the primary-to-secondary barrier reaches 4000 Vrms, and the converter is electrically isolated to help prevent ground loops between the PLC backplane and field wiring. The output stage uses a switching topology to generate regulated +15 V, +8 V, and −30 V rails. Relay contacts tied to these rails can be loaded up to 2000 VA or 150 W without exceeding thermal limits, which allows the module to support relay-connected loads as well as low-voltage PLC circuits.
