The BRADOL 0 from B&R Automation is part of the CXC Communication Card Series. This product is a robust programming adapter and communication interface. It enables reliable connection and integration for B&R Automation systems.
The B&R's BRADOL 0 is intended for flexible industrial deployment and advanced automation requirements. It ensures a flawless interface with the RS 232 and RS 485 protocols. It includes a 9-pin D-Sub connector for both RS 232 and RS 485 channels. RS 232 pin assignments include GND, DTR, TXD, RXD, DSR and CTS. The pin assignments for RS 485 contain five data lines and a ground. The model has five screw terminal points for secure termination. It has a removable 5-pin orange terminal block for easy service and wiring adjustments. Cooling is accomplished by passive louvered vents on the side and top panels. The flange corners have four 4.5 mm mounting holes. The power input provides 8–30 V DC and dual AC voltage ranges of 93–121 V and 187–242 V @ 50–60 Hz. Dimensions are approximately 195 mm by 105 mm by 62 mm, ensuring a compact footprint in control cabinets.
The BRADOL 0 has a front panel ON/OFF rocker switch and a rotary dial for voltage selection between 110 and 220 volts. LED indicators for TXD, RXD, STATUS, and POWER ON give quick status updates. A 0–F rotary switch allows for the selection of node numbers. Its enclosure is built of an industrial plastic and metal mix to ensure long-term durability. It is ideal for programming, serial data conversion and communication bridging in B&R systems.
