Product Description:

The X20CA0E61.01000 belongs from the CM16 motor cable series engineered by B & R Automation. It is designed with a PVC outer jacket of RAL 9005 for durability and it has a halogen-free inner jacket. This motor cable’s wire insulation is made of polyethylene to meet the harsh static and motional requirements for safe operation in various conditions.

The X20CA0E61.01000 cable features a length of 10 m, 6.7 ±0.2 mm of diameter and weighs 0.058 kg/m. Its minimum bend radius for fixed installation is 4 times the outer diameter and for flexible installation, the bend radius is 8 times the outer diameter. The cable consists of 4 pairs of wires with twisted design and their colors are blue-white, blue, green-white, green, orange-white, orange, brown-white and brown. The X20 cable’s shielding includes aluminum foil and copper braiding to protect the cable from external interference. Its wire strands are made of tinned copper with 26/7 AWG and the X20 cable is tested for operating with a maximum voltage of 125 V. This cable supports transfer rates of 10 to 1000 Mbit/s and it offers a conductor impedance of less than 145 Ω/km at 68°F along with an insulation impedance of greater than 5 GΩ/km at the same temperature.

The X20CA0E61.01000 cable is suitable for a wide range of temperatures between -10 to 60°C, at a maximum altitude of up to 2000 m and its protection degree is IP67 to bear harsh as well as moist conditions. Its RJ45 connectors on both ends provides an IP20 protection as well, when they are properly plugged in a system. The X20 cable meets ROHS 2011/65/EU standards and it is made flame retardant in accordance with IEC 60332-3-24.

Frequently Asked Questions about X20CA0E61.01000:

Q: Why does the X20CA0E61.01000 cable use twisted wire pairs?

A: Twisted pairs reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity over long cable runs in noisy industrial environments.

Q: How does the aluminum-clad foil and copper braid shielding enhance cable performance?

A: This dual-layer shielding minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMI) and protects signal quality in high-noise settings such as factories.

Q: What is the significance of using polyethylene for wire insulation?

A: Polyethylene offers excellent dielectric strength and chemical resistance, ensuring safe and stable performance in motional and static cable environments.

Q: Why does the X20CA0E61.01000 cable have both PVC and halogen-free jackets?

A: The outer PVC jacket provides mechanical durability, while the halogen-free inner jacket ensures low toxicity and smoke in case of fire.

Q: What role do the RJ45 connectors with IP20 protection play in this cable's system?

A: When properly plugged in, they maintain secure data transmission within less protected internal systems while allowing modular flexibility.
