Product Description:
B & R Automation manufactures the motor cable X20CA0E61.0100 from durable and flame-retardant materials. It features a halogen-free inner jacket for enhanced safety and the outer jacket is made of black PVC RAL 9005 for additional protection. This cable consists of four twisted pairs of wires made of tinned copper strands for better conductivity while each pair is color-coded with blue-white, blue, orange-white, orange, green-white, green, brown-white and brown.
The X20CA0E61.0100 cable is shielded with overlapping aluminum-clad foil and tinned copper braiding. Its shielding ensures 85% coverage that prevents external intrusion and it has a conductor resistance of ≤145 Ω/km at 20°C. This cable possesses a maximum operating voltage tolerance of 125 V and its insulation resistance is ≥5 GΩ/km at 20°C. It can transfer data at rates of 10/100/1000 Mbit/s and it is compliant with category 5 standards per EN 50288-2-2 (2004) and IEC 61156-6 (2002). The X20CA0E cable is suitable for various operating conditions as it has an IP67 protection rating to ensure resistance against dust and water. The RJ45 connector on the cable end features an IP20 rating, when it is properly connected. Its temperature range for transport and fixed installation is -40 to 80°C while for flexible installation in static or moving applications, the temperature range is -10 to 60°C.
The X20CA0E61.0100 cable offers a bend radius of greater than 8x outer diameter for flexible installation. Its length is 1 meter and possess a diameter of 6.7 mm, with ±0.2 mm tolerance. This X20CA0E cable carries a weight of 0.058 kg for every meter length and it is ideal for durable connections in motor control and automation systems, as it meets the requirements of modern industrial environments.
Frequently Asked Questions about X20CA0E61.0100:
Q: Why is tinned copper used in the X20CA0E61.0100 cable instead of bare copper?
A: Tinned copper improves corrosion resistance and solderability, especially in environments with moisture or oxidation. This extends the cable's life in industrial settings.
Q: What benefit does the overlapping aluminum-clad foil provide in the X20CA0E61.0100 cable?
A: The aluminum foil adds an extra layer of EMI shielding. It minimizes signal loss and distortion in environments with high electrical noise.
Q: How does the halogen-free inner jacket help in safety applications?
A: It reduces toxic gas emissions during fire exposure. This makes the X20CA0E61.0100 cable safer for enclosed or public installations.
Q: Why is PVC RAL 9005 used for the outer jacket of the X20CA0E61.0100?
A: The black PVC provides abrasion resistance and UV stability. This improves the cable’s durability in harsh lighting and environmental conditions.
Q: How does a conductor resistance of ≤145 Ω/km affect cable efficiency?
A: Lower resistance ensures reduced voltage drop over long distances. This allows stable signal and power delivery in high-load applications.
