Product Description:

The 8ECM0015.1111C-0 Motor Cable part of the CM16 Motor Cables series ensures reliable performance in demanding environments. B & R Automation which is the leading industrial manufacturer of power supply modules developed these effective motor cables for industrial automation applications.

The 8ECM0015.1111C-0 motor cable can move at high speeds with velocity up to 3000 m / min in dynamic applications like cable carriers or robotic arms without damage or signal interruption. It has up to 50 m/s² of acceleration tolerance which ensures it performs reliably in rapid movement systems, such as pick and place automation. It is specifically built to withstand up to 5000000 bend cycles which is suitable for long term use in constantly moving machinery. For signal transmission it has 4 wires total each with their own shield and an overall shield to prevent electrical noise or interference. Its connector is rated for fewer than 500 connect/disconnect cycles which means it is intended for semi permanent connections rather than frequent plugging or unplugging. It comes with an outer diameter of 12.2 mm ±0.3 mm which affects compatibility with cable ducts, glands and connectors. When it is not moving it has a minimum bending radius of 38 milli meters.

The 8ECM0015.1111C-0 motor cable has a bending radius of larger than 94 mm when it is moving which helps prevent damage to conductors and shielding during operation. It features a connector which is dust tight and protected against powerful water jets (IP66) and temporary immersion in water (IP67). It can safely handle voltages up to 1000 volts alternating current which is suitable for most industrial motors.

Frequently Asked Questions about 8ECM0015.1111C-0:

Q: Why does the 8ECM0015.1111C-0 cable use tinned copper for conductors instead of bare copper?

A: Tinned copper offers improved corrosion resistance, especially in humid or chemically exposed environments. It also ensures better solderability and long-term conductivity stability.

Q: How does the PP insulation on conductors enhance the cable's performance?

A: PP (polypropylene) insulation provides excellent dielectric strength and low capacitance. This helps reduce signal loss and enhances electrical efficiency in high-performance applications.

Q: What is the advantage of using TPU jacket material in the 8ECM0015.1111C-0 motor cable?

A: TPU jackets combine flexibility with high mechanical strength and abrasion resistance. This ensures longer cable life in dynamic and rugged environments.

Q: Why are signal wires in 8ECM0015.1111C-0 individually shielded in twisted pairs?

A: Twisted pair shielding helps reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. This ensures cleaner signal transmission, especially in electrically noisy environments.

Q: What role does the 85% optical coverage in shielding play for 8ECM0015.1111C-0?

A: High optical coverage means denser shielding, which significantly improves EMI protection. It ensures greater signal integrity in high-frequency applications.
