Product Description:
The 8ECM0003.1111C-0 Motor Cable is suitable for continuous operation and it can be integrated with a compatible motor for efficient performance. The module falls in the series of CM16 Motor Cables series that are created by B & R Automation.
The 8ECM0003.1111C-0 motor cable is shielded with tinned copper braiding with optical coverage >85% and foil shield which provides excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection. This module is UL-recognized and suitable for use in North America with safety approvals for up to 1000V and flame resistance (FT1). It comes with polypropylene insulation which offers good electrical properties, chemical resistance and mechanical strength for reliable performance. It can withstand exposure to industrial oils which makes it suitable for use in machine tools and factory environments. It is rated for high voltage applications up to 1000 volts AC which makes it capable of powering motors directly. It comes with black, brown, blue and yellow colors which enables easy identification of conductors for installation, maintenance and compliance with wiring standards. The module is stranded with filler elements and foil shield which improve cable shape stability and resistance to mechanical stress and also adds another layer of EMI shielding. The minimum bend radius for a single bend without damage is greater than 38 mm.

The minimum bend radius for a single bend without damage is greater than 38 mm. Its connector is designed for moderate reusability which is acceptable for applications where disconnection is occasional. Its mass is 0.4 kg which provides an idea of cable heft and manageability.
Frequently Asked Questions about 8ECM0003.1111C-0:
Q: Why is foil shielding combined with copper braiding in the 8ECM0003.1111C-0 motor cable?
A: Foil shielding provides 100% coverage for high-frequency noise, while copper braiding blocks low-frequency interference. This dual-layer enhances EMI protection for stable signal and power transmission.
Q: What advantage does TPU outer jacket provide in continuous motion applications?
A: TPU offers excellent abrasion resistance and flexibility under stress. It maintains performance in high-speed cable carrier systems where frequent bending occurs.
Q: How does a moving bend radius >94mm benefit the 8ECM0003.1111C-0 cable?
A: A larger moving bend radius prevents internal conductor stress and jacket fatigue. This extends cable lifespan during repeated dynamic motion cycles.
Q: Why are filler elements used in the cable stranding design of 8ECM0003.1111C-0?
A: Filler elements maintain round cable geometry under mechanical strain. This helps reduce twisting and supports consistent electrical performance in dynamic applications.
Q: How does the 8-pin Speedtec connector benefit the 8ECM0003.1111C-0 motor cable setup?
A: The Speedtec connector ensures quick and secure mating with minimal torque. It simplifies installation and maintenance in space-limited or high-vibration environments.
