Product Description:
The motor cable 8ECH0025.1111A-0 is manufactured by B & R Automation in varying cross-sections of 4 x 1.5 mm², 2 x 0.75 mm² and a combination of 2 x 1 x 0.30 mm² and 2 x 2 x 0.15 mm² conductors. This cable is designed as oil resistant and it meets the UL AWM standards for up to 90°C temperature in stationary and moving applications.
The 8ECH0025.1111A-0 motor cable’s construction includes power, supply and signal lines. Its power lines are copper stranded with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², the supply lines are made of tinned copper stranded wire with a thickness of 0.75 mm² while the signal lines consist of a combination of copper and tinned copper stranded wires with diameters of 0.30 mm² and 0.15 mm². The cable has an outer jacket made of PUR and it comes in an orange color. The 8ECH motor cable possess a maximum current carrying capacity of up to 20.9 A in a cable tray and it has been tested with 1000 V as its continuous bearable voltage. Its insulation resistance is up to 200 MΩ·km and a conductor resistance under 13.3 Ω/km for power lines, along with ≤26 Ω/km for supply lines, while ≤68 Ω/km and ≤140 Ω/km for signal lines.
The 8ECH0025.1111A-0 motor cable has a drag chain data capacity of up to 50 m/s² acceleration and a flex cycle rating of over 3 million. It is capable of attaining to a maximum velocity of 300 m/min and offers a bend radius of ≥100 mm when moving. This 8ECH motor cable possesses an overall diameter of 13 mm ±0.4 mm and a total length of 25 meters, that weighs 5.9 kg.
Frequently Asked Questions about 8ECH0025.1111A-0:
Q: Why does the 8ECH0025.1111A-0 use both copper and tinned copper conductors?
A: The mix enhances corrosion resistance while maintaining excellent conductivity. It also improves signal reliability in environments with variable humidity and chemical exposure.
Q: What is the advantage of having a PUR jacket on the 8ECH0025.1111A-0 motor cable?
A: The PUR jacket ensures high abrasion resistance and durability in industrial applications. It's also oil-resistant, making it ideal for machine tools and robotics.
Q: How does the cable's design improve electromagnetic interference (EMI) resistance?
A: The separation of signal and power lines reduces crosstalk. The choice of stranded wires and material shielding also improves EMI suppression.
Q: How does the conductor resistance of ≤13.3 Ω/km affect power efficiency in the 8ECH0025.1111A-0?
A: Lower resistance reduces power loss across the cable length. It improves overall energy efficiency in high-current motor applications.
Q: What is the reason behind using 2 x 2 x 0.15 mm² signal line configuration?
A: This configuration allows differential signaling or isolated signal pairs. It improves signal clarity and reduces interference in feedback or sensor systems.
