8ECH0011.1111A-0 is a hybrid motor cable. It is manufactured by B&R Automation and is used to connect ACOPOS servo drives to servo motors. Operators can deploy the cable in drag chains. A major benefit of using hybrid cables is that encoder and motor lines are in one cable. Use of hybrid cables is cost-effective and reduces the time and effort required for troubleshooting. The cable has a 13-pin female hybrid connector at one end. This is a female connector with support for up to 500 mating cycles. Its protection class is IP66 but only when it is connected properly. The connector at the other end is an 8-pin mini I/O connector for the encoder this male connector supports up to 1500 mating cycles. Its protection class is IP20 but only when it is connected properly.
