Product Description:

The B&R Automation 8CR015.12-1 is a control relay that has a compact size with optimum contact switching in industrial automation.

This relay, designed to operate with a coil voltage of 24 VDC, is intended to provide high levels of control effectiveness together with long service life and good electrical reliability. It has 2 changeover (CO) contacts, which can switch current up to 10 A, so it can be used at the signal level, or in light-to-moderate-power applications such as motor controls, lighting, or actuator switching. The contacts are constructed in a resistant silver alloy, which guarantees good conductivity and low arc erosion with time. The relay is DIN rail mountable and, therefore, can easily be installed and can be securely mounted to the control panels or distribution boxes. It can work in an operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, and therein lies its readiness to be implemented across various industrial settings. The 8CR015.12-1 boasts an eminent mechanical service life of 10 million operations and an electrical service life that amounts to 100,000 operations (approximately) at rated loads in terms of endurance.

The motor has a high insulation resistance of 100 MΩ at 500 VDC, which makes the motor to have minimum leakage and high reliability. It is also very strong at dielectric strength with 2500 Vrms for 1 minute, which offers positive isolation between control and load circuits to give long-term safe operation. The relay dissipates only 1.2 W, which adds to the overall efficiency in the energy system. It has an IP20 protection rating that is sufficient to be applied in a closed control cabinet. Thermoplastic, the material used to make housing, is strong and resilient to environmental stress.
