8CE012.12-1 is an industrial feedback cable. It is used to transmit feedback signals from B&R servo motors to ACOPOS drives. Length of the cable is 12 meters and its outer diameter is 7.85 millimeters with 0.2 millimeter tolerance. The allowing single-bend radius is greater than or equal to 24 millimeters. The moving bend radius is greater than or equal to 60 millimeters. The feedback cable is designed for drag chain applications, supporting a maximum velocity of 4 m/s, acceleration up to 6 g, and over 3 million flex cycles at an ambient temperature of 20 °C. The 8CE012.12-1 cable weighs approximately 0.96 kilograms. It is suitable for ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to 80 °C during motion, and from -20 to 90 °C when stationary. The effective operating voltage cannot exceed 30 Volts. The wire-to-wire and wire-to-shield test voltage ratings are 1 kilovolts and 0.8 kilovolts respectively.
The cable has two connectors: one for the servo motor connection and another for the servo drive connection. The cable features a 15-pin male DSUB connector for connection to the motor. This IP20 rated connector is rated for maximum 200 mating cycles. For the drive, the cable has a female EnDat connector with 17 pins. This IP65/66 rated connector is rated for maximum 500 mating cycles. Outer jacket of the 8CE012.12-1 cable is made of PUR and is green in color. The cable is shielded with copper braiding that offers more than 85% optical coverage. The 10 signal lines use tinned copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.14 mm². Tinned copper wiring with 0.5 mm2 cross-section is used for the 2 supply lines. This B&R industrial feedback cable is certified to UL, CE, and UKCA standards.
