The 8ECM0015.1523C-0 is a preassembled hybrid power-and-signal cable from B & R Automation and belongs to the ACOPOS P3 Cables series. It is intended to connect ACOPOS P3 servo drives to their associated motors, carrying high-current phases together with low-level feedback conductors in a single run. By combining both circuits, the cable reduces cabinet space while maintaining deterministic communication and stable power delivery in automated machinery.

Four dedicated power cores follow the main section dimension of 4x 10 mm² + (2x 0.75 mm²)C + (2x 1.5 mm²)C, so the drive can supply phase currents without excessive voltage drop. Each conductor is manufactured from tinned copper stranded wire, a material choice that improves flexibility and resists corrosion at screw or crimp terminations. The molded Speedtec plug uses an 8-pin female Speedtec, size 1.5 interface, and its eight contacts are keyed to prevent misalignment during connection. Insulation integrity is verified at ≥500 MΩ·km, limiting leakage paths along long drag-chain runs. For functional safety, the assembly withstands an operating potential of 1000 VAC (UL), allowing direct connection to the ACOPOS P3 DC link without intermediate isolators.

The outer sheath is formed from TPU, giving oil resistance and a small bending radius suitable for continuous-motion cable carriers. When the plug is tightened, the mated interface achieves a protection rating of IP66/67 (connected), so washdown cleaning does not compromise the conductors. Dielectric spacing between any two cores is confirmed with a wire-to-wire impulse of 4 kV, which covers typical line transients seen on inverter outputs. Core insulation is extruded in PP, separating the four power lines and four signal lines so encoder channels remain isolated from conducted noise even during high-torque acceleration events.
