The 8ECM0010.1031C-0 cable assembly is supplied by B&R Automation within the ACOPOS P3 Cables series. It is used to route both power and low-level feedback signals between an ACOPOS P3 servo drive and the connected motor or field device in industrial automation equipment. A molded 8-pin female Series 915 connector is fitted at one end, allowing fast installation without on-site termination work. This layout helps maintain consistent electrical connections on moving and stationary machine sections.

The finished length of 10 m provides reach for typical cabinet-to-machine runs, while the cable measures only 10.1 mm in diameter, which helps it pass through narrow drag-chain channels. The conductor package is 4 × 0.75 mm² + 2 × 2 × 0.34 mm²; the larger cores carry motor power, and the paired 0.34 mm² conductors carry encoder signals. Electromagnetic interference is reduced by tinned copper braiding + foil shield wrapped around the core bundle, and the shield is bonded directly to the metal connector shell. The contacts are arranged in 8 positions, and the PUR outer jacket resists oil, coolant, and repeated flexing during machine motion.

Electrical insulation supports a maximum operating potential of 1000 VAC, and insulation resistance is rated at ≥500 MΩ·km to help keep leakage current low over the cable length. When connected, the assembly reaches IP66/67 protection, which blocks dust ingress and resists high-pressure water exposure. Mechanical durability is rated for <500 mating cycles, which is suitable for periodic connection and disconnection during service. The power conductors have a resistance of 26.7 Ω/km, the signal lines are limited to 56 Ω/km, and wire-to-wire as well as wire-to-shield integrity is verified with 4 kV test voltage. The cable has a mass of 0.9 kg, which keeps handling manageable without adding unnecessary bulk to the routing path.
