The 8ECH0009.1111A-0 cable is engineered by B & R Automation for the ACOPOS P3 Cables series. Designed to link an ACOPOS P3 servo drive with its matched motor, the assembly merges power, brake supply, and encoder feedback within one rugged harness. This integrated layout helps keep cable routing simple around moving axes and limits the number of separate connections between the drive and the motor. By combining these functions in a single routing, the product reduces cabinet space, reduces setup time, and preserves signal integrity in multi-axis automation cells where synchronous motion and real-time feedback are required for accurate positioning.

At the drive side, the harness terminates in a 13-pin female SpeedTec hybrid motor connector that locks with a quarter-turn bayonet and integrates phase, brake, and earth circuits through 13 contacts. The motor end features an 8-pin male Mini I/O encoder connector that mates directly to the feedback module and dedicates 8 contacts to differential A/B/Z or serial encoder channels. Four tinned copper conductors feed the motor phases, and these 4 power lines are laid in a star-quad arrangement to reduce electromagnetic coupling, while six shielded cores handle incremental or absolute position signals. Separating power and signal paths inside a common sheath allows stable communication without external conduit.

The PUR outer jacket resists oil mist, coolant, and continuous flexing in drag chains. Internally, the conductor bundle follows 4×1.5 + 2×0.75 + 2×0.30 + 4×0.15 mm²; the motor cores measure 1.5 mm², the brake pair is 0.75 mm², and the signal pairs are twisted to maintain 120 Ω impedance. Electrical integrity is checked at a 4 kV test voltage, and mated coupling nuts, O-rings, and overmolded strain relief deliver an enclosure rating of IP66/67, allowing washdown installation on gantries, packaging machines, and processing equipment. The jacket also reduces abrasion when the cable moves through machine frames or carrier tracks.
