In an automation cell, it converts three-phase mains power into regulated output power that controls the torque, speed, and position of a connected synchronous motor. This operation allows the machine controller to produce precise motion profiles for pick-and-place equipment, packaging machinery, and material-handling systems.
This drive delivers a continuous phase current of 2.2 A RMS, indicating the thermal limit for long-term operation without derating. For short acceleration bursts, the current rises to a peak of 14 A RMS, helping actuators overcome static friction or sudden load changes. The mechanical power delivered to the motor is rated at 1 kW, matching the requirements of small and medium servomotors used on feeders and indexing tables. The inverter can modulate its output at frequencies up to 598 Hz, supporting high-speed motors with low-inductance windings. The IGBT bridge switches the DC link at a nominal frequency of 20 kHz to reduce audible noise and current ripple.
