8LWA High Torque Servo Motors

The 8LWA High Torque Servo Motors comprise compact three-phase synchronous servo motors designed for extremely tight installation spaces while delivering high torque density and strong dynamic response due to low moment of inertia.

The series is offered with either a resolver interface or a fully digital EnDat 2.2 encoder system, with EnDat versions supporting plug-and-play motor identification by storing key motor data in the encoder memory for compatible drive systems. Standard protection is IP64, with IP65 available when equipped with the specified oil seal, and the motors can also be ordered with an optional holding brake for shaft holding when de-energized. Electrical integration is simplified by a connection concept where power, encoder signals, and brake signals can be routed through a single hybrid cable, with options for different connector arrangements and orientations. The motors are intended for use with ACOPOS P3 servo drives, target performance up to roughly the 1 kW class, and are specified for industrial operation including use at elevations up to 4,000 m.
