Product Description:
The 8BVE0500HW00.000-1 supply and monitoring module is produced by B & R Automation as part of the 8BVE ACOPOSmulti Drives series. It fits into a common backplane to distribute DC-bus energy and 24 V auxiliary power, forming the electrical spine of multi-axis servo systems used in industrial automation. By routing the shared bus and furnishing status contacts, the unit allows a central rectifier to feed several inverters while giving the controller immediate feedback on operating states. This arrangement reduces the need for separate point-to-point power wiring between drive sections and keeps the axis group organized within one mechanical assembly.
The electronics are powered through a logic input of 25 VDC ±1.6%, and two 24 VDC cable outlets forward this regulated voltage to adjacent modules. The shared DC bus operates at a nominal 750 VDC and is exposed on dual terminals that fall under Overvoltage Category III for fixed industrial wiring. An enclosure rating of IP20 means the housing is finger-safe but not sealed against liquids, so the device mounts inside a control cabinet. Internal semiconductor losses reach 200 W, and the integrated safety relay opens the bus within 3 ms after a stop command. The shutdown path supports fast fault isolation when downstream axes must be de-energized quickly. Cabinet planning is simplified by a 53 mm width, 263 mm depth, and 317 mm height, which match standard panel layouts.
Additional service connections aid diagnostics and daisy-chaining. The alarm relay can switch up to 1 A at 30 VDC, delivering isolated fault signals to a PLC. For the auxiliary 24 V supply there are 2 cable outlets, and the same count applies to the DC-bus pass-through, so neighboring modules receive power without external splitters. Communication between this module and the next drive section may span 5 m when approved hybrid cables are used. With a self-consumption of only 5 W, the unit adds minimal load to the control supply. The layout also reduces the number of separate power jumpers needed inside the cabinet while keeping fault signaling available to higher-level control hardware.
