B & R Automation produced the 8BCM0010.3034C-0, a cable from the 8BC ACOPOS Cables series. This hybrid assembly carries both motor power and feedback signals between ACOPOS servo drives and corresponding actuators in industrial automation cells. By combining power conductors and twisted signal pairs within a single jacket, the part reduces panel wiring time and maintains deterministic communication on moving axes. This combined layout also reduces the number of separate cable runs along servo axes and supports cleaner routing in compact machine spaces.

The composite conductor set is arranged as 4 x 0.75 mm² + 2 x 2 x 0.34 mm²; the larger quad supplies three-phase power plus protective earth, while the double twisted signal pairs handle encoder channels. A factory-molded 8-pin female Series 915 power connector is fitted to one end, and its matching housing accepts a total of 8 contacts so the power and feedback circuits remain isolated. When routed through a cable track or conduit, the copper bundle can carry up to 8.5 A, which is suitable for typical low-inertia ACOPOS motors up to roughly 1 kW. The outer sheath is made of PVC, which offers oil resistance and permits small bend radii. Internally, filler elements and a foil shield control crosstalk, and the stranded design improves flex life during continuous motion.

Once the threaded coupling is tightened, the mated interface reaches an IP66/67 rating when connected, which blocks dust ingress and high-pressure water during washdown. The power and signal conductors use PP insulation, so dielectric properties remain consistent across thermal cycles. Dielectric strength is validated at 3 kV between any conductor and the overall screen and at 4 kV between individual wires, supporting drive systems that employ 560 V DC bus voltages. The assembly weighs 2 kg, and its 4+4 layout keeps pin mapping straightforward in compact cable chains used on pick-and-place robots and gantry modules.
