Product Description:

The 8BAC0120.000-1 is an ACOPOSmulti plugin module that is made by B&R Automation. It has the EnDat 2.1 interface for processing encoder signals. It supports encoder monitoring and is power conversion certified in accordance with UL cULus E225616 standards for compliance and consistency in automation systems.

The 8BAC0120.000-1 plugin module is provided with a single encoder input via a 15-pin male DSUB connector. It provides an encoder power supply output of 5 V ±5% with a load of 250 mA. RS-485 synchronous serial interface at 781.25 kbit/s is employed for signal transfer. Differential, symmetrical sine/cosine signals with frequencies up to 400 kHz (-5 dB) are supported by the module. Resolution at 1 VSS is calculated as the number of encoder lines * 5700, for precise position feedback. Termination resistor is 120 Ω, and sense line compensation up to 2 × 0.7 V. Operating temperature is nominally from 5 to 40C, with relative humidity tolerance up to 95% at 40C. Status indicators appear as UP/DN LEDs representing rotational direction and speed of the connected encoder. The module supports up to 75 meters of length of encoder cable and provides common-mode voltage tolerance of ±7 V.

The 8BAC0120.000-1 ACOPOSmulti plugin module's power consumption for 512-line EnDat multi-turn encoders is limited to a maximum of 4 W. Encoder monitoring is provided for signal integrity and system reliability. There is no signal isolation between the encoder and the ACOPOSmulti system, and it requires isolation compliance. The module is compatible with ACOPOSmulti slots and supports synchronous serial data transfer. It has a sense line compensated design with robust encoder input handling. The module is suited for high-accuracy feedback in industrial automation with 12-bit resolution and differential signal transmission for improved noise immunity.
