Product Description:
B & R Automation manufactures the 8B0M0070HW00.000-1, a power supply module from the 8B0 ACOPOS Multi Power Supplies series. The device converts three-phase mains power into a regulated high-energy DC link that feeds multiple servo inverters in coordinated motion applications. By concentrating rectification and buffering in one unit, it simplifies wiring, reduces cabinet heat sources, and ensures every downstream axis receives a stable voltage reserve for acceleration, regenerative braking, and controlled stop sequences in automated machinery. It is intended for multi-axis servo platforms where several inverter branches share one supply and require a common energy source during changing load conditions.
The unit has a continuous output capability of 200 kW, which is the maximum power it can furnish to the common DC link without derating. This energy is delivered at a nominal level of 750 VDC, a voltage that helps keep bus current low in large multi-axis systems. To carry this current, the terminals require a conductor cross-section of 72 mm² for the DC bus and protective earth connections. The housing is rated IP20, so it must be installed inside a switchgear enclosure. An auxiliary rail supplies 1500 W at 25 VDC ±1.6% for control electronics, and the module is 13.5 mm deep. It also requires a mounting surface evenness of 1 mm and provides seven slots that accept ACOPOS inverter branches for compact stacking.
Cooling is handled by five exchangeable fan cassettes that can draw up to 57.75 W, maintaining airflow across the heat sink. The fan cassette arrangement allows individual airflow components to be replaced without changing the main housing. The enclosure spans 378 mm in width and 385 mm in height, yet the assembly weighs only 3.71 kg, which supports mounting on DIN rail or back-panel plates. Operation remains rated up to 4000 m above sea level without power reduction, and auxiliary conductors use a 21.3 mm² cross-section to limit temperature rise.
