Product Description:
The 8B0C0320HW00.B00-1 power module is a member of the 8B0 ACOPOS Multi Power Supplies series manufactured by B & R Automation. As a shared DC-bus supply, it converts line energy into regulated internal rails that feed multiple servo inverters and auxiliary logic in an automated machine. By centralizing power conversion, it simplifies cabinet wiring, maintains common voltage levels for regenerative drives, and supports coordinated motion sequences across the plant network.
At the auxiliary input, the unit accepts 25 VDC ±1.6% on the 24 V service terminal; this low-voltage feed keeps the control electronics active when the main power is off. The intermediate circuit delivers a nominal 58 VDC rail that can supply ±35 A continuously to the embedded PLC, I/O modules, and brake resistors. These outputs are derived from a nominal 750 VDC DC bus that links the supply to the ACOPOS inverter stack. Line disturbances are filtered by an input capacitance of 47 µF, and controller signals are exchanged over the integrated Ethernet interface at 100 Mbit/s. To prevent excessive inrush current, the sequence waits up to 8 seconds before energizing the bus, and the design is suitable for overvoltage category III installations commonly found in fixed industrial switchboards.
During acceleration or regeneration bursts, the 58 V rail can supply ±60 A for a maximum of 2 seconds, while a DC-link capacitance of 1.2 µF smooths these peaks and limits voltage ripple. The housing carries an IP20 protection rating, so it must be mounted in an enclosure but allows tool-free access to plug-in modules. The unit measures 317 mm high, 53.5 mm wide, and 263 mm deep, and its mass of 3.2 kg allows installation in densely populated drive cabinets without additional support. Operation is permitted at elevations up to 4000 m above sea level, with reduced air density taken into account when evaluating thermal performance.
