B & R Automation’s 8B0C0320HW00.002-1 is a DC power module in the 8B0 ACOPOS Multi Power Supplies series. The unit converts the rectified mains link of a multi-axis drive system into regulated DC outputs that feed the common bus and auxiliary 24-volt circuits used by controllers, feedback devices, and I/O. By supplying stable bus energy and logic voltage, it forms the electrical backbone for coordinated motion tasks in packaging, printing, and material-handling lines.

The supply delivers a continuous output of 32 ADC, allowing it to feed multiple inverters simultaneously while staying within its thermal envelope. At that current, its bus can provide 800 W of usable power, although the worst-case input draw is 880 W. The DC link is held at 750 VDC and is buffered by a 220 nF film capacitor that smooths transient load steps. For short acceleration peaks, the module can source up to 42 ADC for less than four seconds before returning to its steady rating. Control electronics are powered by an internal 25 VDC rail within ±1.6%, and a separate 24 VDC auxiliary output with a tolerance of ±6% services external sensors and actuators. The hardware is qualified for Overvoltage Category III installations on industrial mains.

Wall-mounting slots simplify installation, and the enclosure is only 53 mm wide, 263 mm deep, and 317 mm high, so it fits alongside servo drives on a shared backplate. The design meets the IP20 protection rating, which means live parts are finger-safe, but the cabinet must provide the environmental seal. A permitted startup delay of 1 s lets capacitors charge before drives are enabled, helping prevent nuisance trips. Operation is allowed up to 4000 m above sea level without derating, and the Category III surge rating supports use in feeders that experience moderate overvoltage events.
