Product Description:
B & R Automation manufactures the 8B0C0160HW00.001-1 power supply for the 8B0 ACOPOS Multi Power Supplies series. The module converts plant-side mains energy into a stabilized DC bus and auxiliary control voltages that feed coordinated servo drives on the same rail. By maintaining a common bus, it allows regenerative energy sharing between axes and reduces cabinet wiring. Within an automation cell, the unit acts as the electrical backbone for motion controllers, providing continuous power to keep multi-axis systems synchronized under varying load conditions.
The electrical ratings show how much power the module can supply to the bus. It delivers a continuous current of 16 ADC, which corresponds to a sustained output capability of 400 W to the attached inverters. The internal link operates at a nominal bus voltage of 750 VDC, giving the drives a wide dynamic range while staying below the insulation limits of overvoltage category III. Control electronics are fed from a separate interface that expects 24 VDC nominal and tolerates surges up to 30 VDC. The housing provides IP20 protection, and its 220 nF bus capacitance smooths transient load steps. The internal 25 VDC logic rail is held within ±1.6% of its setpoint to maintain deterministic drive communication.
The housing measures 53 mm wide, 263 mm deep, and 317 mm high, so it occupies one slim slot on the ACOPOS backplane. Under peak demand, the unit can draw up to 445 W from the mains while remaining within its thermal envelope at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C. Installation sites may be situated as high as 4000 m above sea level without derating, which is useful for material-handling equipment in elevated facilities. Its slim frontal width also permits side-by-side mounting next to additional supplies while keeping the overall machine footprint compact.
