By converting 24 V field signals into deterministic network data, the controller streamlines machine wiring and supports coordinated motion and process sequencing in industrial automation lines. The controller operates from a nominal supply of 24 VDC. Its 16 inputs and 16 outputs can each be wired as sink or source circuits, with switching recognized below 5 V and asserted above 15 V. Two hardware event counters accept pulse streams at up to 100 kHz, while an encoder channel is rated for 30 kHz, enabling length measurement, registration tasks, and position capture. The aluminum housing measures 80 × 170 × 30 mm, so the module fits compact control panels while still providing a single X2X Link slave interface for deterministic network updates. This combination lets one controller manage both general-purpose field signals and pulse-based devices without requiring an additional counter module.
