Product Description:
B & R Automation’s 6PPT80.101E-16B operator panel belongs to the 6PPT Power Touch Panels series and functions as a compact human-machine interface in machine cells and production lines. As an integrated display and control unit, it bridges PLC logic and field devices, presenting process data and accepting touch input for real-time adjustments. Its front-mounted layout gives operators a direct way to review alarms, change screens, and respond to process changes at the machine.
The panel is driven by a 1.3 GHz Atom E3930 CPU. The two cores allow multitasking between the visualization runtime and fieldbus drivers without adding a separate controller. System memory is 1 GB LP DDR4 RAM, enough to cache trend logs and recipe tables, while the onboard 512 MB of flash stores the operating system and project files in solid-state form. Graphics are rendered at 1280 × 800 px across 16.7 million colors, so status graphics and alarm icons remain legible at a glance. A PCT multi-touch surface accepts gestures even through thin gloves, and the half-brightness time of 50 000 h forecasts long display service life before luminance drops to fifty percent. Two Ethernet ports permit separation of machine and plant networks, and two USB connectors support service sticks or barcode scanners.
The active diagonal of 10.1 in fits into enclosures that cannot accommodate larger panels, yet the slim profile of 279 × 191 × 42.2 mm leaves room for cable routing. The unit draws 24 VDC from the cabinet supply and consumes no more than 17 W, so heat output is minimal and usually requires only passive ventilation. With an assembled mass of 1.7 kg, the panel can be mounted on light swing arms without exceeding typical load limits. This compact format supports installation where space is limited but local operator access is still required.
