Product Description:
The 6PPT80.101E-10A is a human-machine interface panel produced by B&R Automation for the 6PPT Power Touch Panels series. Designed as an operator front end, it combines a widescreen display, touch sensor, and onboard computer to present machine status, collect user input, and relay commands to PLCs over industrial networks. By integrating the control visualization into one compact housing, the panel simplifies installation on machine frames or control cabinet doors and reduces wiring compared with discrete monitor-PC combinations. Its sealed design also protects the electronics from airborne dust and incidental fluid contact typical in production environments.
The projected capacitive touchscreen spans a 10.1" diagonal and is bonded to glass rated 6H surface hardness, so it withstands repeated presses and glove use. A luminance of 500 cd/m² keeps graphics visible under bright shop lighting, while the native resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels reproduces fine detail without scaling artifacts. Visual data are rendered by an Intel-based Atom E3930 processor that boots from 512 MB of flash storage and communicates through one Gigabit Ethernet port plus two USB 2.0 connectors for service tools or scanners. The unit operates directly from a control-cabinet rail at 24 VDC, eliminating external adapters and reducing panel depth.
A contrast ratio of 800:1 sharpens the separation between dark and light elements, supporting rapid recognition of alarms and trend lines. The system carries 1 GB of DDR3L RAM, providing workspace for multitasking visualization frameworks and local data buffering. Typical energy draw is only 17 W, enabling dense installations without significant heat accumulation. The LED backlight is rated for a half-brightness lifetime of 50,000 h, which minimizes replacement intervals, and the overall weight of 1.7 kg allows mounting on swing arms or articulated operator stations without heavy support hardware.
